A new, young ebayer!

Well, this was a shocker! As I was just writing my last post, especially the part about Seth asking me to spell everything, apparently he was registering on ebay!

Seth is going to be six years old in a few weeks, but the kid literally was registering for ebay right behind me! He asked me how to spell our town of Springville, and when I turned around, he was on the register screen for ebay. This still five year old had typed in his FULL name in the correct areas provided, made up his street address, but knew the word CITY and was asking me how to spell our town.

When I asked him what he was doing, he said he was signing up for ebay (can he really READ?). I asked why he was signing up for ebay, and he typed in the word train on Google, and then typed in Lego Train and somehow found a Canadian Pacific train for sale on ebay. He said he wanted to buy it, so he was signing up. Through my laughter, I explained that he needed to be 18 in order to purchase anything from ebay, but he said that he didn't care, he wanted this train.....and guess what, it was only $290!

So, never underestimate the knowledge of our children, what they can and can't read or understand, and I am proud of the little guy. Don't know which I am prouder of, the fact that he actually knew what he was doing, or he knew to find a bargain on ebay! ROFL!

Many Blessings,
Mary Jo

Mary Jo this is just the cutest story - I do hope you record this somewhere for him for the future. It's just too precious to lose!
Love it.
