It's a girl.......

Meet the newest addition to our little family! Her name is Katie Elliott and she is an 8 week old Golden Retriever. We just love her, and she loves us right back! She's meek and mild, and loves to be held like a baby in your arms and have her belly rubbed! The boys are really enjoying her, and are very good at keeping an eye on her so that she doesn't get into anything she's not supposed to. Finally, they have a dog!

Mama, really, STOP taking my picture! Geesh!

For those of you who are counting, that makes 3 hens, 1 rooster, 1 Mama bunny, the occasional baby bunny, 4 fish, and now, Katie Elliott.

Be sure to stop by the shoppe and see Katie, and the primitives too!

Many blessings,
Mary Jo Elliott

Hellooooooo Ladies!

I don't have a picture just yet because it's getting dark outside, but our fine young ladies, the hens, have a new man! Russ's brother, Tom, located a fine rooster for us up in Athens, PA, and the guys (Seth, Sammy and Russ) went up to get it today! He used to be the low guy on the totem pole at Tom's brother-in-laws farm, but now, he's the king of the roost!

His name is Eggbert Eggbert, and our 4 year old, Sam, named the guy. It's kinda confusing, since one of our hens is also Eggbert, but as Sam explained in his four year old intellect, this name is different because he's a boy rooster and so he's Eggbert Eggbert, get it? Well, luckily they don't mind! LOL!

The hens haven't been laying eggs yet, but are about due to in a few weeks or so, and now with Eggbert Eggbert around, maybe some chicks could be in our future?

So now we have the white hen, Danie (short for the word Danger, Seth's favorite word next to Warning!), Eggbert, the speckled Barred Rock hen, Brown Betty (my hen) the Rhode Island Red hen, and now Eggbert Eggbert. I just love living in the country!

All are getting along so far, and Eggbert Eggbert was strutting his stuff as if to say Hellllooooooo Ladies! Yeah, he's a happy camper!

I'll add a picture ASAP...........

Many Blessings,
Mary Jo

Here's another locally made buffet. It's painted black with a stained top. There are two doors with punched copper fronts and a nice little cubby "nook" in the middle. The price for this piece is $199, and could be used as a buffet, a sofa table or the perfect piece for a long hallway.

We also have a great old child's slant top desk. This primitive piece is only $60 and would look great in your country home!

And finally, for all of us purse lovers, Donna Sharp's line of purses and totes have arrived! Here's just one cute sample, I love quilted fabric purses!

Hope to see you all soon!

I just received two new items for our Early Lighting Category. They both are in an aged tin finish which, to me, looks a bit like pewter!

Free Pillowcase Pattern

I was just surfing the internet and found a great website that has a few free patterns. One of them is a cute pillowcase. What a fun way to spruce up your bedroom! Pick your own fabric to match your decor and with just a few minutes of sewing, you can have something new to lay your pretty little head upon! Simple sewing knowledge is all you need....basically, just straight stitching, how much easier can that be?

Just click on the link below to view the free patterns....
